Gavin, son of long-standing club professional Len Beck grew up on the fairways of Redland Bay Golf Club. He was a Junior member of the club until the age of 17 when he moved away to travel the world. Having lived in the Whitsunday, Channel Islands, Scotland and Canada, Gavin returned home and applied for a PGA Traineeship under the watchful eye of his Father Len. Gavin won an event on the Qld Sunshine Tour as a trainee yet upon completion of his traineeship didn’t chase the dream of making it on tour, instead taking a job offer as a Golf Operations Manager in Fiji. Returning to Australia Gavin played events on the Qld Sunshine tour and Australian Tour before returning to Redland Bay to work with his father Len and brother Shannon. In 2019 Gavin accepted the role as Golf Operations Manager at the Club. Other interest includes Family, Surfing and Snowboarding.

Favourite Hole at RBGC: 14th “It’s the hole that visitors remember at Redland Bay and that’s what makes it my favourite.” Gavin believes that it is one the best par 5’s in Queensland, especially if you have to play it with northly winds and with a king tide.

Golfing Highlight: Travelling to watch The Open in 2000 at St Andrews with my brother and parents. As well as watching a good friend win the 2016 UBS Hong Kong Open and securing a life changing European Tour Card.

Todd was introduced to the game out in a central west town of NSW called Orange where there was three golf courses. Todd grew a passion for the game and quickly wanted to test his skills against the states best. As soon as he was older enough to drive, Todd ventured four hours East to Sydney almost weekly to play. When Todd was 18 he joined the NSW state squad as well as spent time at the Australian Institute of sport where his passion for teaching the game began. After completing his traineeship at Wentworth GC in 2006, Todd spent time in Sydney teaching and working for a company called PGA Links. From there it was back to his hometown of Orange where he became the Head Professional of Wentworth GC for 5 years. Looking to further his career in teaching Todd moved to Brisbane where he has been coaching Full time for over four years. other interests include Family and the NRL.

Favourite hole at RBGC: 16th

Golfing highlight: Todd's number one highlight is playing 108 holes in a day for charity, with proceeds going to the Cancer Council. Todd played from Dawn to Dusk. Also, Todd was nominated for Rookie of the year in 2007.

When Shane began golf at 10 years of age, he quickly developed a passion for the game which carried well beyond his teenage and professional life. After completing a Bachelor of Business majoring in Professional Golf Management, he worked at several clubs on the Gold Coast before travelling to Miami, USA where his passion for coaching developed. Once he returned from the USA, he completed his traineeship on the Sunshine Coast at Pelican Waters and Headland Golf Club. In 2018 his travels took him to Wuhan, China where he was the Head Coach at The Orient Driving Range. Other interests include surfing and live music.

Golfing Highlight: During the 2017 Mining Town Pro Am Series, Shane won 3 consecutive Shootout Competitions at Tieri and Blackwater Golf Club, pocketing almost $1500!
